Samp or Sassuolo for Zaza
Samp or Sassuolo for Zaza – Valencia directors have flown to Italy and will negotiate Simone Zaza move to Sampdoria or Sassuolo, it’s reported.
The striker turns 27 later this month and is not part of the Spanish side’s plans.
He was signed from Juventus in January 2017, on loan with option to buy, for a total of €18m.
Despite scoring 13 goals with five assists in 39 competitive games this season, Zaza is no longer required at the Mestalla.
Valencia directors Mateu Alemany and Pablo Longoria are said to have flown into Milan today for negotiations with several Serie A sides.
According to Calciomercato.com, Il Secolo XIX and Onda Deportiva, they have meetings with Sampdoria and Sassuolo to discuss Zaza.
The problem is that Zaza has already turned Samp down twice before.
He was also on their books from 2010 to 2013, but spent most of that time on loan with Juve Stabia, Viareggio and Ascoli.
A return to Sassuolo would be remarkable, as the centre-forward had his most prolific period there, scoring 21 goals in 69 games from 2013 to 2015.
Milan and Torino are also believed to be interested in Zaza.
